A hoop toss and some critter whacking, cocktails and burgers, what more could you want from your night out?
Fayre Play opened this week in Glasgow. Scotland’s first adult-only funfair inspired gaming venue. Each of the nine games, with their cheeky Glaswegian twist, will be fondly reminiscent of childhoods spent at the fair hurling coconuts, tossing hoops and hooking ducks.
Once home of Fore Play Crazy Golf, the Portman Street venue offers you the chance to win a cute fluffy ducky, get your sugar fix at their sweet cart or get your Insta pics on their merry-go-round horse.
For your £12 you get one hour of play time, during which you can play each game twice. They’ve got:
After all that strenuous competition you’re going to need to refuel! Thankfully Fayre Play has a full bar and tasty scran courtesy of burger & dog purveyors: Loaded.
Tuck into the “Scottie Dog” with Haggis, cheese and pickled red cabbage in a Brioche Bun or a classic “Chilli Dog” (beef chilli, cheddar, jalapeños, crispy onions and melted cheese). Alternatively, go fully loaded with “The Fire Eater” burger (Buttermilk fried panko chicken breast, house katsu mayo, homemade pickle slaw, gem lettuce and jalapeños). Interesting vegan and vegetarian options available too.
When it comes to drinks you can, of course, go for your same-old tipple or you can get a bit adventurous with one of their playful cocktails, or house larger. We’re planning on kicking off our tour of the cocktail menu with Candy Whack It (pink gin, Pinot Grigio, elderflower, lemonade, apple juice, lime AND popping candy) – yes you get popping candy with your drink! Other cocktails also treat you to candy floss, lollies, Gummy Bears and toffee chew bars.
So, whether you’re looking for a fun filled date, a hilarious night of competition with your mates or a work-outing that your team will actually enjoy, you should get booked in at Fayre Play.
