Urban Playground Delights Manchester with Putters and The Cube Live

4th February 2022

These are exciting times for the people of Manchester as social entertainment operators open thrilling venues across the city. Next week will see the opening of an absolute corker …

Urban Playground will be opening on the upper mall of the Manchester Arndale on Thursday 10th February. Spread over two floors and spanning 4,000 square metres, this truly is an spectacle and tickets are on sale NOW!!!

Urban Playground is offering you everything for a wild night out: Putters, The Cube Live, The BUTCHER gourmet burgers and cocktail bars. This is an entertainment venue like no other.

Putters at Urban Playground

@UrbanPlaygroundUK

Putters is superb high-tech mini golf where each hole is brought to life by on-screen animations and interactive sounds. There are three courses, each with a different theme and each offering you nine holes of instagrammable, hilarious (and at times frustrating) fun. There’s even the chance to win a free burger or beer! Can you conquer The Loop?

The Cube Live

@UrbanPlaygroundUK

You’ve seen the TV show well now you can step inside The Cube yourself. For the very first time The Cube is leaving the studio and is bringing the pressure box to Manchester.

This exhilarating experience can be played by teams of up to four players. There are seven games to play, all of which featured in the original TV series, including Aperture and Crossed Paths. There will be tension, there might be tears but can you … beat The Cube?

The BUTCHER

@thebutcherofficial

If you’ve never had a burger from The BUTCHER then you’ve missed out! These are award-winning gastronomic burgers with flare, and this will be their first venue in the UK. These burgers are created using carefully selected Aberdeen Angus beef, finest herbs, freshest vegetables, signature sauces and homemade buns – these are burgers that scream quality.

At last count there were 19 different burger options on the menu at Urban Playground. Everything from The Daddy (230g beef topped with melted Edam, lettuce, tomato, bacon BBQ sauce and grilled onion); Silence of the Lamb (Prime New Zealand lamb with spices, herbs, lettuce, tomato, sesame paste & grilled onion); Codfather (Fresh blue cod beer battered served with Butcher fries & The Butcher tartare sauce); to The Vegan Delight (Crispy mashed chickpeas patty with herbs & spices, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion & sesame paste).

All these delectable mouthfuls of juicy burger can be enhanced by a wide range of additional toppings, sauces or sides. You really need to check out their menu.

Bars

@UrbanPlaygroundUK

You are spoilt for choice at Urban Playground. If you’re eating at The BUTCHER then you can get your hands on milkshakes, including their boozy Dark Rum ‘N Chocolate shake, bottled beers & ciders or soft drinks.

Alternatively, you can head to the UP bar which has a menu bursting with your favourite tipples. With beers, wines, soft drinks and spirits to satisfy everyone in your group. However, as usual here at Social Playlist, we suggest you also check out their cocktail menu! It’s a beauty. Kiwi Cosmo, Raspberry Mojito, Smokey Old Fashioned, Pornstar Martini and even their very own Urban Playground special – Flaming Passion (Rum, passion fruit, lime and pineapple).

Director of Urban Playground, Edward Mellors said, “Mellors Group are thrilled to launch Urban Playground at Manchester Arndale. The Cube Live is the first of its kind along with a state-of-the-art Tech-Infused Putters mini golf and food franchise, THE BUTCHER. We hope this is the first of many Urban Playground attractions to be produced across the UK and cannot wait for doors to open to the public for the very first time.”

That sounds promising … hopefully a Urban Playground will be opening up near you!
