The Light Cinemas have been bringing a boutique cinema experiences to sites around the country since 2007. The Light currently operate 11 venues but they are expanding! As well as a brand-new site opening in the next few weeks, in Banbury, The Light have announced they are coming to Redhill.
The residents of Redhill will be familiar with the regeneration project which is seeing the old Marketfield Way car park be transformed, by Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, into an exciting new leisure, retail and residential development called, The Rise.
The Rise will be home to 150 apartments, seven units for restaurants and shops and a Tesco Express. However, the real star of the show is going to be the awesome new entertainment venue, The Light. The Rise will be opening in time for Easter 2023.
The Light, Redhill will feature a six-screen premium cinema, a nine lane boutique bowling alley, a retro arcade, diner, bar and a range of other new leisure activities! So, whether you’re looking for ultimate bragging rights over your mates or playing “first strike buys a round” their lanes are going to be the perfect place for some friendly competition or to break the ice on that first date.
The Light Redhill haven’t released their menus yet, however, if their other sites are anything to go by then you’re in for a treat. You can expect a ‘60s style American diner and hopefully some exquisite street food from resident vendors. The Light Sittingborne, for example, host Fratellis (pizza), PITTSBURGER (burgers, dogs, wings & sliders) and Coffee Cabana.
The Light are purposeful about every aspect of their business, making sure you get the very best experience. So, unsurprisingly they also have a carefully curated drinks menu. Selected beers, wines and cocktails. Plus, some venues partner with local breweries, like The Light Sheffield who serve beer from local Abbeydale Brewery and The Light Walsall who work with Backyard Brewhouse.
