Located in Wythall, Birmingham, That Funky Venue (formerly That Funky Golf Place) have packed in a load of fantastic, competitive activities to stir your fighting spirit. That Funky Venue has always offered thrilling, glow in the dark mini golf, where even the putters glow. However, now, alongside their long-term favourites American Pool and an arcade, they have introduced Duckpin Bowling and will soon be launching Interactive Darts.
Duckpin Bowling has all the nostalgia of ten pin bowling but everything is a little bit smaller. The lanes aren’t as long, the pins are shorter and stubbier, and the balls fit nicely into your hand and don’t have any holes (amazing if you love your acrylic nails). Duckpin Bowling may be smaller but it’s definitely mighty!
Interactive Darts is a wonderful, tech-fuelled, reimagining of the traditional game of darts. The state-of-the-art darts board is fitted with pressure technology which senses where your dart lands, feeds this information to a computer and calculates your score. Not just that, Interactive Darts are designed for multiplayer gaming. The easy-to-use touch screen guides you through your gaming options, splits you into teams and keeps track of the play. So all you have to do is throw, drink and enjoy time with your mates. Interactive Darts aren’t yet available … but it won’t be long so keep an eye on their socials.
All this gaming fun is thirsty work. Thankfully, That Funky Venue has a bar stocked with beers and spirits. They also offer a range of cocktails including Mojitos, Cosmopolitans, Strawberry Daiquiri, Blue Lagoon and Sex on the Beach. So, grab your drink and get yourself on those lanes.
