No need to worry about the January Blues … because Sixes Cricket are going to send them over the boundary by opening their fabulous new venue on Saturday 8th January.
Located in the Mailbox (where Café Rouge used to be), the high-quality bar will be delivering tasty BBQ food, gorgeous cocktails and impressive cricket batting nets.
Sixes Cricket Club already have sites in London’s Fitzrovia, Fulham and Manchester. Their batting nets are extraordinary. They utilise cutting edge, elite sports technology to create a batting experience which is accessible for all ages and abilities. Groups of friends compete against each other for the ultimate bragging rights in one of their three bespoke batting cages.
The experience isn’t just about the incredible technology and wildly fun game play. Sixes serve up exceptional food. Given Sixes was founded by the team behind Mac & Wild, it’s unsurprising that the food menu celebrates quality ingredients. Their Sixes BBQ Platter is a prime example: Burnt end nuggets, low and slow smoked chicken wings, beef and whisky sausage, sticky ox cheek mini buns, zesty summer slaw, beef gravy, garlic mayo and harissa sour cream! WOW!
They’re also not shy when it comes to drinks. Their full bar stocks a diverse wine list, beer, cider, soft drinks, milkshakes and hot beverages. However, the stars of the show are their cocktails. As well as a long list of classic cocktails they also have a range of cheeky signature and experimental cocktails. Everything from Tea Time (Yorkshire Rea Tanqueray gin, cloudy apple, lemon and strawberry) to their Pickled Ploughman (Pickled Tanqueray 10 gin, sherry vinegar, cheese and crackers).
