Rolling into Edinburgh this November will be Roxy Lanes. Taking over an incredible 25,000 sq foot, of what used to be BHS, the new Roxy Lanes will be abundant with games bringing some competitive fire to your night out.

Roxy Lanes Edinburgh will house loads of the Roxy favourites: ten pin bowling (obviously), ice-free curling, shuffleboard, karaoke, American pool, bank shot shuffleboard, beer pong, air hockey, basketball and arcade games. You really will be spoilt for choice!

If you’ve never been to a Roxy venue before then let us tell you what you can expect, other than an incredible line-up of games.

1: Striking Design. Although each Roxy venue is unique with flashes of creativity which reflect the identify of the city it is in, there are some features which make a Roxy venue. There’s a stylish, urban feel to a Roxy. Impressive graffiti works of art which segments the gaming areas, intersected by bold black and white stripes / chevrons. Neon lighting and signs bring a touch of dazzle and emphasise that retro gaming vibe.

2: Bespoke Cocktails. As well as a decent list of classic cocktails, featuring familiar favourites like Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan and Pina Colada, there’s a hefty line-up of signature cocktails. Finely crafted by their in-house mixologists guests can indulge in some clever and tasty concoctions including, Spin Off (Absolut Vodka, pineapple juice, mango puree, lime juice and agave), Shuffle Hustle (Captain Morgans, Chambord, lime juice, cranberry, sugar syrup and fresh raspberries) and the Perfect Game (Beefeater Pink Gin, limoncello, lemon juice, cranberry, sugar syrup and fresh strawberries).

3: Americana Diner Food. Roxy know that when you’re busy having fun thrashing your mates at bowling or pool you don’t want to be sitting down to a fussy meal. So, they’ve curated a tasty but easy-eat food menu. We’re talking servings such as pizza (a whole one or by the slice), hot dogs, nachos, salt & pepper chicken and Roxy fries.

4: Good vibes. Roxy is all about giving you everything you need for a fun filled night out. Break the ice on that first date with a game of shuffleboard; channel your competitive spirit into a challenging game of beer pong; take on your work colleagues in a game of ice-free curling which no-one has ever played before so levels the playing field. Plus, they play a bouncing playlist of eclectic rock and indie music.

Roxy venues have been bringing their lively venues to Northern cities since they first opened in Leeds in 2013. Since then, they’ve opened in Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham and Bristol. Most recently they also opened up in Sheffield. The games on offer vary between venues so take a gander at their website to see what your nearest Roxy has in store for you.
