Bringing more than just bowling, Roxy Lanes are coming to Queen Street, Cardiff in 2023.
Roxy Lanes offer a fabulous night out with great games to play, a full bar serving up a good range of cocktails, tasty food, a bouncing soundtrack and an urban vibe.
The gaming at Roxy is hard and fast. Start with ten pin bowling, offering you and your mates the opportunity to show off your stylish throw and Instagrammable victory dance. Next why not try your skills on the shuffleboard tables – both full length and bank shot (the rebound version). This is a game of skill which looks simple and sedate but once the tactics kick in you’ll discover just how ruthless you can be … but do you have the finesse required to glide your puck into the perfect position?
Ice-free curling is a Roxy favourite. It’s like curling (which you might have seen at the Winter Olympics) but without the ice. A bit like shuffleboard but the stone is much larger.
When you’re having a great night out, with cocktails flowing, there’s only one activity that will quench that party thirst – karaoke. Thankfully Roxy Lanes in Cardiff will have fabulous karaoke booths so you and your crew can really let it all go. Whack out those power ballads, show case your well-rehearsed rap battle and get everyone singing along to a crowd-pleasing favourite.
If that weren’t enough fun … Roxy Lanes Cardiff will also have American pool, air hockey, basketball, beer pong and a whole host of arcade games.
To keep you fuelled up for your night of fun and games Roxy venues have a full bar, serving up your favourite tipples. Plus, their cocktail menu is packed with familiar favourites as well as bespoke themed options, like Shuffle Hustle (Captain Morgans, Chambord, lime juice, cranberry, sugar syrup and fresh raspberries) and the Perfect Game (Beefeater Pink Gin, limoncello, lemon juice, cranberry, sugar syrup and fresh strawberries).
The American Diner food menu offers finger foods, which are easy to eat between activities. Tasty treats including pizza, hot dogs, salt & pepper chicken, nachos and Roxy fries.
Roxy venues have been bringing their lively venues to Northern cities since they first opened in Leeds in 2013. Since then, they’ve opened in Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and Sheffield. They currently have 13 sites, most recently they also opened up in Edinburgh. The games on offer vary between venues so take a gander at their website to see what your nearest Roxy has in store for you.
Roxy Leisure’s, Commercial Manager, Joel Mitchell, said, “We’ve been searching for the right location in Cardiff for a while now, and we’ve finally found the perfect place. We’re bringing Roxy Lanes to cities across the UK and thanks to Cardiff’s abundance of clubs, bars, restaurants, and event spaces, we know that the people of Cardiff will not only love us for the games but the Roxy atmosphere and party too.”
