Slay the summer with mini golf, batting, archery and garden games

Roof East is back! Having being closed for the winter season Roof East has re-opened the best roof top experience in East London. The view is incredible, the gaming hilarious, the food is tasty and the vibe is chill by day, buzzing by night.

This is the perfect place to soak up the summer sun, kick back with your mates, get your game on and dance the night away. There is so much to do and it’s open until 11pm so there’s no need to plan for an after party. Roof East is open to all until 5pm after which it becomes an adult only playground.

Activities at Roof East

Birdies – A Roof East fan fav, Birdies offers you nine holes of mini-golf hilarity. If the vibrant colours don’t put you in the summer vibe then the joy of getting that little ball into the hole will soon have you bouncing!

Sluggers – work up a sweat in a batting cage – it’ll help you feel guilt-free when you hit up Cheeky Burger! A round in the Sluggers cage is the stress release you’re looking for. You can adjust the speed of delivery, making this brilliant fun for all.

Arrows – as you’d expect this is Hawkeye territory. Hone your archery skills and see if you can unleash your inner superhero.

Glitter Bowls – you can jazz up anything with a little glitter and Roof East have glammed up the traditional game of bowls; not just for your gran anymore. Weirdly, you might find you get better at this after a tipple or two.

As well as these bookable games there are a whole heap of free to use games for your enjoyment: Giant Jenga (but it’s not called Jenga or they’d be in trouble), cornhole, Kubb, giant connect 4, giant quoits (apparently all games are better if they go giant) and ping pong. There’s also their epic Beat The Bar contest; the ultimate hang-tough!

Rooftop Film Club continues to be a popular. It’s a very special way to watch cult classic movies and new releases, with incredible views, impressive sunsets and excellent food. June, for example, will be showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Nope, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Rye Lane, The Notebook, Beetlejuice, Amelie, Lost in Translation, Magic Mike’s Last Dance and White Chicks plus loads more.

Roof East host regular events including dance classes by The Curve Catwalk, The Big Fat Quiz Company and their annual Jenga Championships.

Food and Drink

You’ll be very well looked after at Roof East. Currently there are three street food vendors which are all halal and offer vegetarian and vegan options. The 2023 season sees the return of award-winning Cheeky Burger with their mouth-watering stacked burgers, delectable sharing platters and tasty sides. Piddaji is back for another year, with their traditional Turkish slinging Pide (the boat shaped flatbreads) and Shawarma cooked in a wood burning oven. Guests can also sample the quality offering from authentic Mexican foodies Papi Chulo.

There are five bars across Roof East so you’re never too far away from a refreshing tipple. They have a wide range of drinks including cocktails and low/no options. One of their bespoke cocktails will also celebrate their suicide prevention charity partner, Campaign Against living Miserably (CALM). 50p from each of the chosen cocktail goes towards CALM.
