Retro Replay: Arcade, Gaming Lounge and Bar in Norwich

20th August 2021

Bored of going to the pub? Fed up of resorting to a soft pay with the kids when it rains? Fancy doing something different for your birthday bash? Well, I’ve got a great suggestion for you … Retro Replay in Norwich

On the first floor of the Castle Quarter, on the walkway between Boots and Pure Gym you’ll find Retro Replay.  This fabulous venue is a gamers paradise and will definitely warm your nostalgic heart.

Retro Replay is stacked with over 80 retro arcade machines including classics such as Space Invaders, Double Dragon, Time Crisis, Pacmania and Guitar Hero. You can check out the full list of games on their website.

Not only do they have an amazing array of arcade machines but you’ll find a great selection of more recent consoles in their gaming lounge… ideally situated within the bar.

The onsite bar sells alcohol after 6pm, so this is a great place to bring your mates for a drink and a gaming battle … Can any of you take over the top spot and gain the highest score?  Throughout the day the bar is open and selling soft drinks and snacks to keep you fuelled up.

One particularly genius idea from this venue is wristbands for all day entry. At Retro Replay you don’t pay for each individual game, you just buy yourself a wristband and you can come and go, all day as you please. Not only that, but the bands are really well priced. £10 per adult, £7.50 for under 16s and under 5s are free. During the summer holidays Retro Replay is open 11am until 10pm, every day. Opening hours vary outside of the holidays so best to check their website for up-to-date details.

If you fancy doing a party or office outing with a difference then this is certainly the place and you can hire the venue for your exclusive use. As well as daytime hire for kids parties or an alternative business meeting, you can book an after dark session, 10pm – midnight. Rates start at £200 for up to 10 people, but there are deals for larger numbers and drinks packages too.

As well as Retro Replay, Castle Quarter is home to a cinema and Superbowl UK, with 12 lanes of tenpin bowling and a soft play area. In July 2020 Boom: Battle Bar Norwich opened, offering crazier golf, electric darts, shuffleboard, axe throwing and more.

Keep an eye on their Facebook for new game announcements and competitions.
