There have been rumblings and rumours about Putt Putt Noddle for some time now … so we’re excited to tell you, Putt Putt Noddle is now open!
This fun experience is a wonderful blending of oriental themed crazy golf with authentic Asian street food. The new venue opened last weekend and is located on the lower floor of the Castle Quarter in Norwich.
Putt Putt Noodle houses three, uniquely styled nine-hole courses for you to enjoy. Amble through Cherry Blossom and find your zen in the tranquillity of the cherry blossom garden spa. You’ll need to channel your inner martial artist to combat the Crouching Tiger – an exploration through the wilderness of Cambodia, as you aim to tame the mighty tiger. The third course is an epic Dragon Quest along the Great Wall of China – can you make it the giant gong in time?
As you’d expect, there is a noodle bar serving combinations of rice, noodles or fries topped with a range of options including Salt and Pepper Chicken, Korean BBQ Pork Belly and Teriyaki Tofu. However, the delightful Asian street food menu also offers a range of main meals, small dishes, sharing platters, sides and puddings (Mango and lemon yuzu cheesecake … make sure you leave some space for this!).
If you love cocktails then you’re in for a treat. Their cocktails menu offers a lovingly curated selection of Winter Cocktails (like Lem-sip’smiths served hot), Bubble Team Cocktails (including Vanilla Chai & Baileys), Mocktails and of course their Signature Cocktails for example: Thai Mango Martini (Smirnoff, martini, mango puree, pineapple and lime juice) or Yuzu and Elderflower Collins (Gordons gin, yuzu, elderflower, lime and soda).
Putt Putt Noodle is a combined venture between Boom Battle Bar and Flip Out. Putt Putt will be run by David Moores, who also runs Boom Battle Bar in Norwich.
Richard Beese, co-owner of Flip Out UK and co-owner of Putt Putt Noodle, said, “This is the first of many Putt Putt Noodles around the country. It will follow in the footsteps of its big brother Boom Battle Bar, which has taken the UK by storm. Putt Putt has everything from delicious noodle dishes, tantalising cocktails and golf that will literally take you on a journey like no other. We have been developing some tech for the courses that will blow people’s minds, that has never been done in the adventure golf sector before.”
