Axe throwing is becoming one of the most popular nights out in the UK, and if you are around the London area you are absolutely spoilt for choice.
Whistle Punks in Oxford Circus offers 9 lanes of axe throwing (two targets per lane). What makes this venue particularly good is their enthusiastic instructors. With their expert training you’ll soon been slinging like a pro. Each 70 minute session includes training, tournaments and trick shots. This venue offers snacks and soft / low alcohol drinks.

With each session, you get an hour’s worth of axe-related fun, including training, slinging trick shots and an axe tournament. If you’ve got a group of eight you can book into an exclusive lane, so it’s just you, your mates and an instructor. Fancy dress is encouraged – the sillier the better! They’ve also got a range of soft drinks, non-alcoholic beers and tasty bar snacks that you can enjoy.

Expert instructors will have you hitting the target in no time. Walk-in sessions are for 45 mins, whilst private lane bookings are for 90 mins – there are minimum player requirements and restricted walk-in hours. Make sure to check out their regular throwing league. Both sites have a wealth of street food vendors on their doorstep. They serve soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails.

The next evolution in the social axe throwing is Champ Throw, interactive digital lanes. At Game of Throwing you can experience a whole new way of enjoying axe throwing. Rather than throw at a traditional target, there are over a dozen games to choose which are projected onto the target. Like Duck Hunt, where you have to strike the ducks before they fly away!
