Platform is a bustling gaming bar which opened in 2019 in Shoreditch. However, thanks to a successful £1.5m funding round, led by Actium AG, Platform are going to be expanding.
The plan is to open four more Platform gaming bars by 2025, spreading out across London and throughout the UK!
Platform offers comfy multiplayer console zones perfect for those friendly rivalries, enjoying classics from Mario Kart, Super Smas Bros., Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7 to FIFA. Playing on either Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 4. Check out their list of games.
Their epic esports area is fully equipped for that high-speed car chase, night-time raid and heroic Battle Royales – could you make it into the League of Legends? Games include: Overwatch, Starcraft2, Fortnite, PUBG and World of Warcraft. You can see the full line up on their website. If you’re a beginner then their team are on hand to help you get started and even offer free training.
Not only does Platform offer a great gaming experience but they also serve up tasty food and creative cocktails. Their gaming themed pizza options are fabulous. Go basic with their Nes Classic (mozzarella, tomato & olive oil) or ramp up your taste buds for the Hadouken (pepperoni, chilli & mozzarella).
We mentioned cocktails … well Platform have summoned together a princely offering. Which crowd pleaser will help you to the winners podium? The Bang-Faster Martini (vodka, coffee & vanilla), The Devil’s Cartel (Tequilla, apricot jam, lime, salt & smoke) or the Bloody Mario (tomato, spice, vodka & Henderson’s).
They have a great range of other drinks; wine, beer, cider, softs, hand roasted Union coffee as well as Good & Proper Tea – for those wanting to keep their reactions sharp.
As you’d expect from a respectable London venue; there’s even Bottomless Brunch. 90 minutes of gaming, a pizza and bottomless drinks (from a specific menu).
