NQ64 is Powering Up for Launch of Gaming Bar in Newcastle

15th July 2022

Opening during the first week of August is NQ64 Newcastle. Think neon splattered underground party bar comes stacked with retro arcade games and classic consoles. This is a gaming bar with a nightlife vibe.

The new venue on Pilgrim Street in Newcastle, will be adorned with NQ64’s signature style of street graffiti spray painted artwork which glows under the UV lighting – you might also want to consider how much white you wear!

When it comes to gaming NQ64 has it all. Enjoy incredible retro arcade games, with fan favourites including Time Crisis, Dance Dance Revolution, Tekken, Guitar Hero and Pac-Man. Battle it out on their popular pinball machines. All you have to do is purchase tokens from the bar and get set to shoot, groove or race your way to glory. Alternatively, get those magic thumbs working on their classic free-to-play consoles.

It’s not a proper night out unless there’s cocktails, right? Thankfully NQ64 Newcastle will be serving up a wonderful array of game themed mixes like Kirby, Donkey Kolada and the Aku Aku Fruit Punch (inspired by Crash Bandicoot). Of course, you can also get a good range of other beverages; craft beer, cider, wine, spirits and softs.

When you’re not gaming you can settle into a booth, take a pew at the bar or bop on over to the dance space to soak up the hip hop and R&B vibes. At the weekends there will be DJs spinning the decks and selecting bouncing tunes to get the party started.

Planning a party? NQ64 Newcastle has areas you can book, so you can celebrate in awesome style.
