NQ64 Powers Up For Second Venue in Manchester

A paradise for those who love old arcade games, NQ64 is a bar with a wonderful twist. 

Allowing adults to play all those games they were never allowed to as a kid, whilst enjoying a cold beer or themed cocktail. Whether your game of choice is a shoot-out, driving, fighting, or classic like Pack-Man or Mario-Kart, NQ64 has great choices for you to try. 

Since opening their first site in the Northern Quarter, Manchester in 2019, NQ64 have opened venues in Liverpool and Birmingham, with a planned opening in Edinburgh later this year. The second Manchester venue is located on Peter Street, next to Albert’s Schloss, and will opening its doors on 21st June.  

What’s On Offer at NQ64 Peter Street? 

This new site will offer more new games, more seating and a larger bar than its sister site in the Northern Quarter. Games on offer include Guitar Hero, Time Crisis 2 as well as new delights Mario Kart arcade, Time Crisis 3 and NBA Jam. 

As usual NQ64 Peter Street has a colourful drinks menu. Themed cocktails include Galaga (Vodka, Glittery Tea, Blue & Lemon, Rhubarb & Ginger Gin), Pac’s A Punch (Strawberry Infused Portobello Gin, Peach, Apple, Lemon, Agave & Soda) or the Donkey Kong (Pineapple Rum, Banana, Chocolate & Cream Soda). If cocktails aren’t your tipple of choice then there’s a good range of beer and wine on offer too. 

Opening Night Treats and Give Aways 

To mark the occasion NQ64 will be giving free drinks to the first 50 people through the doors on Monday 21st June and Tuesday 22nd June.  If you can’t wait until then, the NQ64 team are looking for game and beer tasters this coming weekend (17th – 19th June) – check out their Instagram for more information

Investment and Growth 

Earlier this year NQ64 secured £1.4m of investment from Imbiba to aid its expansion plans. To support their significant growth plans David McDowall, chief operating officer at BrewDog became the new chairman. Ex-managing director of Be At One, Andrew Stones also joined the NQ64 board as the representative for Imbiba. 

As a result of the investment and creativity of the NQ64 team the company working towards opening a bar in Newcastle on Grey Street, beneath Zizzi’s.
