Hasbro Inc. have teamed up with Gamepath and international theatre producer, Selladoor Worldwide to bring the family favourite game, Monopoly, to life. Creating a fantastical, immersive experience which sees teams complete challenges in order to move along ‘the board’ and purchase their dream properties.
Unlike the Christmas game of monopoly the joy of this game is that it only lasts 75 minutes. Details about the exact route or nature of the games are still being kept secret but with a launch date set for 2021 we hope to be able to share more in the coming months.
Gamepath are a fairly new company, launching in July 2020, is part of the H&R Entertainment Group. Gamepath describe themselves as “a London based production house dedicated to producing world class experiential and gameplay entertainment.” Their aim is to blend theatrical productions with game play, transforming classical family games into immersive experience with all the magic and dazzle of a theatre production.
Gamepath is headed by CEO David Hutchinson. David is a director and producer of hit theatre shows including Fame, Madagscar A Musical Adventure, Jersey Boys, Flashdance, Little Shop of Horrors, James and the Giant Peach … and the list goes on. Not only is David CEO of Selladoor Worldwide (formerly Sell A Door Theatre Company) but he is also Managing Director for I AM Marketing, Desktidy Design and Prime Pantomimes. It is this extensive experience and passion for theatre which will undoubtably make the London Monopoly Experience as truly wonderful one.
