The Light Cinema, located within the Redrock leisure complex in Stockport, has applied for planning permission to transform three of the neighbouring, unoccupied units. So, what’s their plan?
Well, this is the exciting bit! The plans, which were submitted to the council in June, propose to use units 4 and 5 for ten lanes of tenpin bowling. In addition, they would like to turn unit 6 into a gaming arcade.
The developments would include an expansion to the foyer of the cinema; which would become the gateway to the new entertainment centre. It sounds epic.
Redrock is already a go-to leisure destination for the residents of South Manchester. Alongside the existing The Light Cinema you can find The Gym, Zizzi, Pizza Express, Berretto Lounge and Mangobean.
If you’ve not already been to Berretto Lounge then you’re really missing out. It’s called a Lounge for a reason – it’s not just the comfy sofas, eclectic mix of tables and chairs, but it’s the incredibly warm and friendly staff, the jovial décor, and the intimate and cosy ambience. It is really worth booking in here before or after your date at The Light Cinema.
