Lane7 Target Family Entertainment Sector With New Concept – Level X

28th January 2022

If you live in the North of the country you’ll be really familiar with Lane7 bowling alleys. Fancy, boutique bowling centres each with their own unique flavour but unmistakably Lane7 in vibe and energy – glow in the dark graffiti, bangin’ tunes, colourful cocktails and juicy burgers.

Alongside your bowling you can often enjoy ping pong, beer pong, pool, shuffleboard, shooting pods, interactive darts and you can get your Mariah on in their Karaoke rooms.  Lane7 opened their first venue in Newcastle in 2013. Since then, they have launched ten further sites from Bristol up to Edinburgh. With an additional six under development including, Glasgow, Dublin, Cardiff and Nottingham.

Now, Lane7 are branching out into the family entertainment centre scene, under their new brand – Level X.

What is Level X?

As CEO, Tim Wilks, puts it, “Level X is all about merging the games you loved as a kid with cool tech elements to elevate the experience.

We’ve been all over the world looking for the latest and best games with a particular focus on tech and I’m confident that we can bring products the UK market has never have experienced before.”

What games will be on offer at Level X?

So far Level X is promising bowling, mini golf, interactive darts, e-carts, batting cages, e-sports, amazing arcade games and a VR zone with roaming VR tech – now come on people, how awesome does that sound!

Where can I try out Level X?

I know you’ll all want one of these near you but the lucky ones to get the first look, hopefully this summer, will be: St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow and Captain Cook Square in Middlesbrough. Lane7 have already secured one additional site with a further five currently under negotiation.

Fancy a new job?

As soon as we get the mock-ups of what the new Level X sites are going to look like, we’ll get those out to you. However, in the meantime, the opening of new venues = new jobs opportunities. Lane7 Group are recruiting for Project Managers, Property Managers and an IT System Manager – so if any of those float your boat then keep an eye on their LinkedIn page.
