Revolution Bars Group Launch Experiential Seaside Fairground Bar

7th April 2021

Revolution Bars Group are branching out in recognition of the significant value competitive socialising concepts add to a venue.

Revolution Bars currently owns 66 sites, they plan to open 20 of these on 12th April, the rest are set to open their doors from 17th May, once indoor hospitality is permitted. The company run both Revolution and Revolución de Cuba brands.

Following the announcement of the roadmap out of lockdown, chief executive Rob Pitcher said, “With the encouraging progress of the vaccination programme, clarity in the timetable to reopening, and the additional financial support measures announced by the Chancellor, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter.

“Notwithstanding that good news, our industry remains on the critical list and the continued support announced by the government is required to ensure that we can be in a position to return to growth and be a driver of national job creation once again, particularly for young people who are the lifeblood of our industry and who have been severely impacted over the last year.

“We are excited at the prospect of welcoming back our colleagues and guests and providing fun and memorable experiences for them as lockdown restrictions ease.”

Not only are Revolution Bars Group looking to see a ‘rapid rebound’ once the business reopens fully but they are investing in opportunities to grow. Revolution Bars plan to trail a range of competitive socialising concepts in some of its venues this summer, including a seaside fairground themed games suite which will include arcade games and dance machines. If these trials prove successful, along with plans to lease space to street food vendors, then they hope to roll out these opportunities to other sites.

Despite having seen a 73% drop in sales to £21.6m in the six months leading up to December as well as having to close six venues in 2020, Revolution Bars Group remain optimistic about the future of their brand and the industry.
