Escape Live Unlocking Escape Rooms and VR in Liverpool This Summer

11th August 2021

Clues, puzzles, intrigue and deception are all part of a great escape room. Escape Live are award winning experts in creating rooms which will challenge the most experienced escapologist and they’re bringing their unique brand of fun to Liverpool, this month (August ‘21)

Located in the popular Liverpool One centre, Escape Live will offer six, 60 minute, escape room experiences.  Which will you choose? There are two official Peaky Blinders immersive rooms, based on the hugely successful BBC television show. The ‘Double Cross’ room sees Alfie Solomons, notorious crime boss, summoning Tommy Shelby to his ‘Bakery’.

Or you can try out, Dr Watson’s OfficePrison Break from HMP Standfast; or the Jack the Ripper scare room. Jas Sodhi, managing director of Escape Live said, “Jack the Ripper is a really scary experience. We have got an air compression system so at different stages of the game it feels like you’re being patted on the back or rats are running across your feet.”

This exciting new venture also boasts the world’s first family escape room.  Three artefacts have gone missing from the Horrible Histories Museum. Your challenge is to travel across time zones to track down the priceless pieces and return them to the museum.

That’s going to be amazing, with children being able to play a really active part, and author Terry Deary is doing the voice-over,” Jas commented.

The new 8,800 sq ft will also house a phenomenal VR arena which will be showcasing the best virtual reality experiences from Ubisoft – the creators of Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. As it’s actually quite funny watching people play VR games, there will be a spectator space for your friends to watch all the action.

Escape Live are also going to be offering opportunities for you to enjoy the Escape Live experience, outside of one of their rooms. They are developing exciting plans for you to play online escape rooms from devices in the bar or immersive, geolocation games played out across the city.

To top it off, this amazing space has a roof top terrace bar! So, when you’ve escaped and are needing something to steady those nerves then head out into the sunshine and enjoy a cocktail. Even if you don’t fancy indulging in some high-adrenalin escapism, you can sample the delights from this gorgeous bar – you can even hire the bar space for your own special event.

For those meetings, corporate events, parties and team adventures there is a private space you can hire. With a capacity for around 40 people this is a great spot for some time together before pitting your wits against your colleagues in an escape room challenge.

Liverpool ONE is a destination with so much to offer. The prime city centre location is home to a plethora of high street and high-end shops, over 35 bars and restaurants and an increasing number of social play venues. Escape Live will be joining Junkyard Golf, Roxy Ball Room and On the Green.

Keep an eye on their website to find out when the doors will be opening and the adventures beginning.
