Clays Target Shooting and Cocktails At Moorgate, London

23rd September 2021

If you love the idea of cocking a shotgun but don’t fancy a romp through the soggy countryside then Clays might be just what you’ve been waiting for.

The next evolution in using technology to make traditional sporting activities more accessible, Clays utilise digitised screens to create interactive clay pigeon shooting games. Making it completely safe to wield your weapon even after you’ve polished off your first few cocktails.

Clays London will be opening for the first time on 1st November and is already taking bookings for the Christmas season.

This classy venue offers private booths for between 2 and 20 people (6-20 peak times). Your pre-ordered food and drinks will in your booth when you arrive, making sure you can quickly commence your evening of shooting, shots and scotch eggs (they are venison with swede and pine nuts!).

Clays prides itself on providing you with a superior experience from the moment you arrive. Be that from the warm welcome, to the quality gaming experience and, most evidently, through their food and drink offering.

Keen to steer clear of the obvious choice of pizza, as is common place in similar venues, Clays offer small bites and loaded bread (might sound like pizza but most certainly isn’t pizza).  Their small bites menu offers a wide range of options including snack platters of olives, hummus, truffle popcorn and Clays dirty nachos. Alternatively, you could select a single person portion of flamed celeriac, cured salmon or sausage roll (Gloucestershire old Spot Pork with mixed seeds, puff pastry & plum relish – this is a little bit of me).

Wow – what a spread!

Should you want to get a feast in for your friends you may want to get in one of each from the Loaded Bread menu: Tomato & Rosemary Focaccia; Lebanese Flat Bread; or Coriander Kulcha. These scrummy sharing breads can be adorned with additional toppings such as lemon chicken thighs, crispy kale, curried cauliflower or 24-hour braised lamb.

When it comes to cocktails Clays are shooting for the sublime. Along with some classic favourites, like Pornstar Martini, Whiskey Sour and Mojito, you’ll find a voluptuous range of Signature cocktails, Sharers, Shots and Low/no alcohol cocktails on offer. Options include Ruby (Vodka, raspberry puree, rose liqueur, plum bitters, raspberry and rose soda); Clay Burst (Pink Gin, fresh lemon with cranberry and raspberry tea syrup) and sharers for 4-6 people which includes the popular Sloegasm (Sloe gin, white wine, cherry vermouth, blackberry liqueur, lemon bitters, lemon and syrup).

Alongside their impressive cocktail menu sits an equally comprehensive drinks menu which includes 25 different whiskies, 19 gins and 23 varieties of wine/fizz, as well as beers, ciders and other spirits.

Stunning and tasty cocktails

We are really excited to see another great competitive socialising venue opening soon and think that Clays offers something original in terms of their activity and the quality of their eats and drinks. This quality venue makes it an excellent choice for a mid-week date, a big night out, a special occasion, fun with your colleagues or stag / hen do.
