Smack bang in the heart of the city on Rose Street, Roxy Lanes are finally bringing their activity magic to the Scottish capital! With bowling options on offer, including both Ten Pin and Duck Pin varieties, you’re sure to have loads of space to practice your striking skills! You’ve gotta be especially sure to give their Duck Pin bowling a go if you reckon you’ve got what it takes to show off your ball spinning skills – both the ball and the pins themselves are smaller and lighter, so it’s an extra challenge to get that all-elusive strike!

If all that action isn’t enough for you, they’ve got plenty of other ball-based activities all lined up and ready for their grand opening. With batting cages, American pool and basketball all available to show off your sporting skills. There’s also ice-free curling, shuffleboard and beer pong for you to play along to your heart’s delight. If your skills lie further beyond the hand dexterity region, never fear! They’ve got a great selection of food and drink on offer, as well as a karaoke room ready and waiting for you to belt out your best hits as loudly as you can! Sound good? Yeah, we can’t wait either.

World of Bowling

World of Bowling has loads on offer for you guys, perfect for your next night out with mates, dates and everything in between! If you wanna bowl, the clue’s in the name, as they’ve got twelve fantastic lanes where you can perfect your backspin. We reckon the perfect time to play them a visit would be early evening, as then you can check out the glory of Glow Bowl. They like to dim the lights, blast out the tunes and bring out the UV! Everything (and we mean everything!) starts to glow, from the laces on your shoes to the pins at the end of the lane. Talk about a cool atmosphere to bowl in!

If drinks are what you’re after, they’ve got a milkshake bar, Slush Puppies and alcoholic drinks of your choosing. Hungry? Try out their delicious Barrel & Stone pizzas. If you wanna keep the party going, don’t forget to give Portal Mini Golf a visit! You won’t have to travel far, as they’re housed in the same venue. They’ve also got some amazing offers available. Be sure to get yourselves down there on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 5pm, as they’ve got crazy deals, with it only being £20 per lane per hour (for up to six people!) you can’t get much better than that!

Lane7 in the St James Centre is another fantastic venue to add to the city’s bowling repertoire! With several graffiti splattered lanes for you to choose from, there’s plenty of room for you to bowl the night away! We’d especially recommend showing off your skills alongside a delicious cocktail or two (speaking from experience!) Just be warned though, this venue is cashless.

If you want to blow off a little more steam after you’ve bowled your way to victory, they’ve also got a bunch of other games on offer. With everything from darts, pool tables, shuffleboard and shooting pods on offer, you’re spoilt for choice! And we can’t forget to mention their crazy golf course, ‘I Like Big Putts,’ which is certainly not one to miss! What are you waiting for?

Tenpin in Edinburgh offers 24 lanes of sensational bowling fun. How about trying the world’s first Hyperbowling experience? In this game, you’ve got to try and hit the flashing LED bumpers before you knock down any of those pesky pins. So of course, there’s no excuse not to have those bumpers up!

If all that bowling has got you thirsty for more gaming action, there’s lots of other great activities on offer, including pool tables, arcade machines, air hockey and table tennis. And of course, if you’re feeling particularly parched, they’ve got a fully licensed bar with an extensive food and drink menu on offer.

Murrayfield Indoor Sports Club

If you fancy bowling alongside likeminded people and want to improve your skills, then Murrayfield Indoor Sports is the place for you! With six tenpin lanes and four dual purpose lanes for both bowling and skittles, there’s loads of space for you to practice your delivery. If you’re newer to the game, don’t worry, as they’ve got automatic bumpers in place to keep you on the straight and narrow.

Love a good bargain? Get yourselves down there on a Saturday night, where they’ve got two hours of tenpin for just £5 each between 5pm and 11pm. If you’re itching for more projectile-based sports, they’ve also got skittles lanes available, as well as pool tables, snooker and darts. It’s a bit quieter than some of the other venues on this list, but that doesn’t mean they’re light on action! Why not come on down and see for yourselves?
