Airtastic in Lisburn is the first venue in the UK to offer CUBE Challenges. 30 rooms of physical and mental challenges which will put your whole team to the test! Coming this October.
Airtastic Lisburn already operates a very successful bowling alley and amusements arcade. However, they will soon be welcoming visitors to try out their brand new activities Laser Tag and CUBE Challenges.
This will be the first time CUBE Challenges will be available in the UK, having already been very successful across Europe, Saudi Arabia and UAE. To play you need a team of 2-6 players ready to take on some fiendish physical and mental challenges. There are 30 game rooms to choose from and each has a ranking from normal to difficult to extremely difficult. Each team will have one hour to take on as many of the 30 rooms as they can in that time. The rooms are rated against four categories:
Physical: you’ll need speed, strength, stamina, flexibility and a strong will to face these time pressure challenges. Sprint on the rolling barrels, navigate the laser maze, test your balance in Cardio and clamber to freedom from the Lost City.
Brain: encounter taxing puzzles and complex problems, use all your brain power to succeed in these rooms. Deactivate a bomb, tackle genius grade maths operations, practice your card counting skills and take on musical masterminds.
Skills: Some obstacles require more than brute strength and a sharp mind, they require perception, patience, focus and poise. Control your loop over the Crazy Circuit to avoid a nasty shock, watch for the lights and strike fast in Lights On, power and accuracy will be needed to gain points at Shooting Farm, and showcase your spatial awareness skills in 7 Blocks.
Horror: it’s time to face your fears! Grab your weapon and head out into the night for a spot of Ghost Hunters, watch out for clowns lurking in Who’s There and stop Frankenstein from escaping in Magic Potion. (Bear in mind these games are also played by kids, so aren’t 18+ kind of scary!).
CUBE Challenges is a brilliant blend of escape room games mixed with challenges. As well as being great fun to do with your mates this would make an awesome team day for your work colleagues.
Alongside CUBE Challenges, Airtastic Lisburn has created a new Laser Tag adventure: Battle for New York. This is pretty much a classic, epic laser tag experience. Laser guns, black light, fluorescent set design and the chance to run around safely shooting your mates in a post-apocalyptic world! What more could you want? It’s a game of points so as long as you protect your base and shoot up the other targets you’re on for a win.
Whether you’re enjoying a casual bowl on the lane with your date or pushing yourself to your limits in the CUBE Challenges you’ll be in need of refreshments. Thankfully Airtastic Lisburn is also home to NY Urban Pizza. Their pizzas are all made on a sourdough base smothered in their signature sauce. There is a good range of topping options and tasty sides to enjoy. My favourite has to be BBQ At The Bronx: NY BBQ sauce, mozzarella, BBQ pulled beef, chicken, ham and red onion! Yaaassss!
There is even a special Lanes Menu, so that you can enjoy your pizza and drinks, at the bowling lanes, making Airtastic Lisburn THE place to Eat, Drink, Bowl!
The bar serves up a great range of soft and alcoholic drinks so there’s something for everyone. If you’re looking for a tipple to help you celebrate that strike why not try one of their crafted cocktails. They’ve got all your usual favourites: Strawberry Daiquiri, Long Island Iced Tea, Pornstar Martini, Sex on the Beach, Espresso Martini and more.
