Sometimes you just need to escape the realities of this life and enter the zany world of Billy Bonkers. If your idea of escape includes laughing so much it hurts, naughty immersive theatre and tasty cocktails then you should get booked in at Bonker’s Bar in Dalston.
Absolutely for adults only this cheeky bar is a colourful twist on a particular Roald Dahl story. Billy Bonker and The Cocktail Factory invites you to seek out a Golden Packet for the opportunity to step inside the fabulous factory and sample their fantastical creations. This experience runs every Saturday night kicking of at 6pm, 6.15pm and 6.30pm.
A Golden Packet gets you 2.5-3 hours within the experience. Upon arrival you’ll be welcomed by none other than Billy Bonker himself. Then you’re lead through the secret gates to commence your cocktail factory tour. Enjoy a “Fizzy Lifting Cocktail” upon entry and sample his latest creations in the Inventing Room. Look out for the Bonkers Bargarita and the Violett Hoeregard!!!
Throughout the tour you’ll meet a number of Billy’s staff, the Lumpy Dumpies as well as some of the factories most famous previous winners. You’re welcome to roam around the factory or head into the central area where most of the theatrical mischief occurs. You and your crew are welcome to dress up and get stuck in with the action but it’s not compulsory.
Look out for the baddie of the piece, Horatio Slutworth. He’s regularly trying to sneak into the factory on the search for the Everlasting Knob-Throbber!
Bonker’s regularly host themed event nights for some intense, raunchy and raucous fun. Keep an eye on their socials for their DJ, bands, live music, cabaret, burlesque and performance events.
