A signature neon golf cart outside the venue is the first indication the I Like Big Putts is in residence at Lane7. Inside, you’ll find a just-as-neon, graffiti-covered 14-hole crazy golf course. Swing your way round the futuristic universe and tick off fun themed holes, such as the ‘Pinball Wizard’. By the end, you’ll know which of your group has the biggest putt of all.
Keeping your energy levels on par are beef, chicken and vegan burgers from Fat Hippo. And an extensive drinks menu with cocktails, milkshakes, beer, wine and soft drinks to wash them down with.
Scoring Lane7 a hole-in-one is the fact they offer a range of other games and activities. After you’ve tackled the mini golf course, head to the bowling alley or play a bit of ping pong.

Found within World of Bowling at Edinburgh’s O2 Academy, Portal Minigolf is a crazy golf course with 18 uniquely designed holes. It takes inspiration from retro arcade games, with a dash of pop culture thrown in for good measure. Resulting in a heady mix of neon-themed 80s nostalgia.
The course is suitable for all – from nervous newbies to mini-golf demons. You can play in a group of up to four and it’ll take around an hour to complete the course. Although this depends on your skills, and of course, how easily distracted you are by the Instagrammable surroundings.
Time travel your way around the course then hit up the licensed bar and the pizzeria that serves fresh stone-baked pizzas. You could also go over to the bowling alley if you fancy

‘Beast’ the competition at Volcano Falls Adventure Golf, with two prehistoric-themed courses on which to show off your mini golf skills. Play 18 holes at Skull Falls, or also take on Volcano Valley for 36 holes. Both are fun, not-too-challenging courses, with lots of foliage, ruins and animatronic dinosaurs to navigate.
Event nights are often held and Jungle Fever Fridays run every Friday from 6pm to 11pm with a live DJ. Make your own event a special occasion with a group or party package that includes sharing platters or nibbles.
Try a themed cocktail, such as the ‘Dinosaur’s Foot’ with its gin, raspberry and citrus spark mix. The street food-style menu with its loaded nachos, pizzas, chicken wings and burgers is perfect for sating a monster appetite.

Fore Play Crazy Golf is a fun, pun and innuendo-filled pop-up crazy golf course located at Picardy Place, strictly over 18s only. The nine-hole course is inspired by the city of Edinburgh itself, with holes themed around landmarks such as Greyfriars Bobby and the Scott Monument.
Providing an upgraded crazy golf experience with a healthy side serving of word play, bespoke cocktails and award-winning street food are all on offer here. Whether you’re a carnivore, veggie or vegan, gourmet Luxford Burgers has you covered. As does the cocktail menu with its creatively named drinks. Go for a ‘Hole in the Wham’ or perhaps sample ‘Sex in the Bunker’.
